Six Reasons Why You Should Buy Mahindra XUV Aero

Mahindra, the Indian automaker has always been one of the major XUV makers in India and has been traditionally known for the very reason. The model line-up of the company has some of the biggest names in the segment. As an example, we have been seeing the popular Mahindra Scorpio as one of the most preferred big cars for a long time now. The same goes with the Mahindra XUV 500 as well, which is a very stylishly designed XUV.

The Mahindra XUV Aero is set to be the latest XUV that will be built on the basis of an existing model. The XUV was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 as a designing concept and was visibly a close replica (the front section) of the XUV 500.

With the launch of this XUV Aero still a long way, it would be important to consider all the factors and how it would impact your decision if you want to buy it. So here is the top reason why you should consider buying this XUV once launched.

Mahindra is one of the best-designed XUVs to be made by an Indian automaker. It designing looks like a crossover between an XUV and a coupe. The butchy front profile is finished in a rather luxurious and ever-so-attractive coupe-ish design with the shallow roofline.

Asymmetric doors

The model of the Mahindra XUV Auro that was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo has been given asymmetric suicide door, which means, both the doors on each side open in the opposite door. If this feature makes it to the production ready model, it will be the most highlighting feature. This concept is relatively new in the Indian automobile industry.

The Mahindra will be using the same engine as most of the other XUVs by the company does, that is, a 2.2-litre mHawk motor. However, this engine will be tuned in to be a sportier power plant. During the unveiling, Mahindra had quoted that this 2.2-litre engine would be making a highest power of 210 bhp, which would make it the most powerful Mahindra car.

With most of the premium cars now days being given different drive modes, the Mahindra XUV Aero will be getting four modes, namely, off road, street, racing and sport. The changes in drive modes will make changes in the handling of the car like the engine response, steering stiffness and the suspension.

Apart from being powerful at heart, the Mahindra XUV will also be able to translate this power into performance. With the racing mode on, the 210 bhp 2.2-litre mHawk engine will be capable of propelling the car to an acceleration of 0-100 kms per hour in just 6 seconds. Now, this acceleration figure is too high for an Indian indigenous automobile.

Pricing and competition

The production of the Mahindra XUV Aero is not confirmed in India yet as the production will be based on the demand. However, if the production gets a green signal, the price of the XUV will be around Rs. 20 lakhs. This would make it the most expensive Mahindra passenger vehicle in India and will be competing against other premium XUVs and crossovers like the Hyundai Tucson, Honda CR-V and the Volkswagen Tiguan.

If you consider all of the above points and start analyzing and comparing them with the other cars in the segment, you will hardly find any car with such a calibre. The most important factors that will work for the car is the presence of an engine (which makes it the most powerful Mahindra car), driving modes, stylish door style and an arguably wonderful design.

If the XUV gets a green signal, it will surely generate a high demand because of its freshness despite being a carry-forward if an existing model.
